The stores in Ny and va are way more cautious, at mcdonalds I asked for a BBQ sauce one time and shorty wanted to see my receipt to make sure I had nuggets

I would have an issue with them. I sometimes put BBQ sauce on a cheeseburger. I probably would have to ask for shortys manager. Either way, no receipt, no sauce for me

Yeah I would think these days it would be reported and followed up by management.

Not to mention I think there is a different type of Karma involved with claiming your sick when you are not. You will get sick like that but worse, some day.
