If they did that couldn't they run the risk of breaking something else that you may have installed after that that relies on your depends

Hmm, not really, cause when your removing it Cydia tells you which programs are using it and it also will remove those programs to avoid problems, with one of the programs I uninstalled some library and it automatically removed metasploit and SET
