Welfare(Electronic) and Living Off the State(Network)
« on: June 20, 2012, 11:16:26 am »
Que violin!
Hey everybody!  I'm wondering if there are any philantropic souls or organizations out there who provide electronics for amateurs. I'm in need of a pc and/or laptop to practice hacking and testing. I only have this iPhone 4 to work with and fewer willing participants. I've been out of work for over a month now, so cash I tight. No option for giving blood/plasma, i got "squishy" veins, whatever that means. I could pay s/h...
Sorry if not Gen. worthy.

Pretty sure there are none out there, if anything you'd probably get some computer that is badly infected with a virus or something. People don't just 'throw out' computers anymore. It would just be a waste on their end...

Try ebay for cheap used computers. Linux can run on OLD hardware

People dispose of old computers in the Hazardous Waste area of the Transfer station/Dump/Recycle Center, sometimes just needing a harddrive

Sometimes people give away old machines, check the "Free" section of local newspapers online
If I help you or you appreciate my work, clicking that +1 button is the best thanks I could get.

My opinions are my own, you may agree or disagree with them, but they are only just that; opinions
For example: facebook is the microsoft of social networks

Yeah
you can get the MK802 for $80 which has 512 mb of ram or get the more pricey one which has 1gb of ram
if you do go through and buy one, get it from aliexpress.com (buy straight from china) i post on the forums here all about the MK802 Mini PC

Keyboard is gonna be like $30 and mouse is about $20 (Depends what you get, i look for the cheapest)
and bam, a great deal for a hacking computer.

The Mini Pc accepts Mirco SD cards up to 32GB, thats your HD right there.
