I tested this when it was first posted and I got password but i can't recall if I had to set promisc mode manually with "ifconfig en0 promisc". Do I need to?

Generally its needed when sniffing a network although many tools enable promiscuous mode automagically

Turns out it wasn't intercepter_ios that let me read my username and password from the terminal. I was probably using ipwn and sslstrip.
