Another Reason to uninstall IE if you can(Vista or newer)
http://spider.io/blog/2012/12/internet-explorer-data-leakage/

"A security vulnerability in Internet Explorer, versions 6–10, allows your mouse cursor to be tracked anywhere on the screen, even if the Internet Explorer window is inactive, unfocused or minimised. The vulnerability is notable because it compromises the security of virtual keyboards and virtual keypads."

A word from this followup http://spider.io/blog/2012/12/responsible-disclosure/
"if you were to log in at this banking website using any browser (perhaps using your Chrome browser, for the sake of argument), then you would be vulnerable to attack if you had another page open in Internet Explorer, even if Internet Explorer was minimised."

Uninstall IE 9

Here's how to uninstall IE 8, titled "How do I remove Internet Explorer from Windows as a troubleshooting step?" Troubleshooting, yeah, right, "for Troubleshooting" hahahaha

I really should uninstall IE. I never use it, but it might be good to not have it on my computer at all. Thanks for links, and great share grinch! +1

Ewww, I know. Just bc they picked a cool background track for the commercial? One thats main lyric was ..."and it feels like I am just to close to love you" because even M$ knows it, we can't love IE
Track is by Alex Clare and is called 'Too Close'. great track, going to blast it now

Excellent point (and song)! However some of my friends who were former Firefox-fanatics have come to like IE as well... :( I used it a few times at school and it's much improved, but still far from perfect.

From a web developer POV, IE has improved greatly since the infamous 5.5 and 6 versions. Better compliance with standards, stole a lot of great ideas from other browsers (Opera, Firefox)... I still have it on my PC to test the rendering of my own web pages, so I am afraid I cannot uninstall it yet...

^^ yes, it has been getting *better* and you need to still test for compatibility!
