Welcome back dude! @sèphér I don't think Apple has anything to do with it. But I don't the big boys of Apple piracy just decided to quit on their own. I'm not sure who or what made them, though. And @lph@, here's a +1 for the share.

They might have been feeling some heat from the Feds. Maybe they made a deal to get out with no prosecution. But that's just speculation on my part.

Good news but somebody have developed a way to install apps directly from safari without jailbreaking your device.

Well I don't think piracy will ever stop completely. There will always be a way to steal apps. With Hackulo gone it will just be a little more difficult is all. But it won't surprise me to see it resurface in some other form elsewhere.

Last I knew the method you describe requires an apple developer license which isn't cheap!

You dont, you only need an idevice with any firmware. Just one click on safari and done. Too easy...

While I do not support piracy at all, and do not disagree that this is 'good news', allow me to quote grinch from an older topic.
"Ending" piracy would be very bad, for everyone.
Piracy sets the floor as to what people will pay, based on risk.
It is what allows "us" to tell companies what we will pay for their products. Without it, companies will tell "us" what we will pay. Prices for content, media, applications will go through the ceiling.

Increasing the "risk" for piracy is the way to go. More "risk", ie penalties, for both those that do the pirating and those that download/use the pirated content will provide the desired effect of less piracy, without effecting the prices to such a degree.

Lower the percentage of piracy, just don't bring that percentage down to 0%
We can't simply blindly charge forward in the war to destroy piracy, we got to think what it could mean for us.

Good that you posted grinch's quote, [null]. Though I doubt it possible to end piracy.

This does litterly nothing. They merely shutdown the downloading part of installous i am guessing can still install ipas. That means you could still download files manually from the internet and then install them with installous. It's too bad they couldn't shutdown the installing part.

I saw a console version of an IPA installer on Cydia last week.

Basically, it all boils down to this, piracy will probably never end, and even though we all know it's wrong to illegally download stuff, there are always going to be those people that want to illegally download and thus the hoster's of these services will keep them going.
If I assist you please consider giving me a +1.

In a way iNinjas is similar to what Godman777 said. We provide tools and options but in the end it is up to the character of the user what will be made of their experience (kinda).
