More Mptcp :/
« on: January 13, 2013, 04:48:29 pm »
A few days ago I saw this post by Listfound: https://ininjas.com/forum/index.php?topic=4916.msg60522#msg60522

Well, we tested the command --> mptcp -r ip-ip on our own network and it worked beautifully. Within a few seconds our wifi was down and it took about an hour to bring it back up. Well now I know it works on networks that you are connected to and on websites, but I was wondering if it would work on a network that the ipod is NOT connected to? Thanks

It would not. ARP is solely a protocol for LANs you are connected to. It cannot travel outside the network you are connected to. I must also point out that ARP poisoning does NOT work on websites for that very reason. ARP poisoning ONLY works for devices on your LAN.

However, mptcp includes some other vectors you could use. A SYN or ACK flood could be effective if they dont have a well configured server. If they have a badly outdated firewall then a Ping of Death style attack could affect it as well. There is also an "HTTP Attack" option, though I am unsure as to what that does.
