Searchsploit module missing
« on: January 26, 2013, 10:31:50 am »
Whenever I run install-sp and enter my API, It gives me this error:
import failed no module named shodan
I tried downloading the shodan API package from our repo and making a file in usr/bin called shodan with my API.

I will be moving a the new exploits I download into metasploit so I can exploit over WAN, not LAN. I am hoping to nmap scan the victim's IP and look for old software. Then I will search in metasploit and searchsploit for it. Here's my question though, is it possible  to exploit over WAN?

Searchsploit downloads from exploit DB. None of those will be compatible with metasploit. All of the metasploit compatible ones are added to exploit DB after they are added to the msf framework.
