This is some pretty scary stuff. Basically anonymous hacked to us sentencing commission's website and stole the keys to some missile warheads. They said they will detonate them unless the gov change.

I did not watch video, but I do no believe this to be a valid threat. Launch codes for missiles are not stored on some website. Even if "keys" were obtained they would not be able to launch them. Military systems uses a different network not accessible from the internet. They can not penetrate the air gap between the two networks.

They are upset about sentencing guidelines for computer related crimes, and I agree, they are ridiculous. People could kidnap, rape, maim, maybe all 3, and get less time than a computer related crime where everyone remains "whole"

EDIT: Yep, saw this

It was a metaphor for what they are planning to do.

The article states "Several Anonymous entities have claimed that the leak is a hoax. The headline of this story has been altered to reflect this."

Really?
I thought they were using the term warhead as a metaphor also as a12 suggested.
Thought they just got some info from the us sentencing site that proves certain VIP are not going strictly by the book. And would drop one piece of information they found each day. Like dropping a daily war head on the government.

EVEN if they had the codes they would be beyond encrypted and impossible to launch.

It may not be a hoax. The website is down, and they didn't say "launch codes" they just said "important information." Which I guess is a little more believable.

READ the article I posted. Anonymous admitted it was a HOAX. Not just a metaphor.  Not parts of what was said. The whole thing.
