How to copy songs from iPod to pc
« on: January 29, 2013, 02:27:19 pm »
Yesterday my computer crashed. So today I went to a computer shop and he said that mine harddrive was broken/failure (how do you call it??) anyway my harddrive doesn't work anymore. I only lost songs (I am dj so it was my dj-laptop, I know that I have could used dropbox to save my music, but it's to late now :p )

I have one question is: how do I copy songs from iPod to a pc or mac.
I have searched google, but nothing seamed to work for me... I have installed diskaid on my mac, but i get some errors...
So is there any way to copy my music?

If you're jailbroken use iFile to email them to yourself. Or you could use iFile to upload to your Dropbox. Or you can use FileZilla on your Mac or PC to SSH into your device and copy the music files. Or you could sync your iPod to iCloud and copy your music from iCloud to your PC or Mac.

I've got a tutorial posted on how to SSH into your device with WinSCP. I think there's a link to it in the FAQ. To do a tethered SSH (in case you don't have wifi), you need afc2add on your device.

Thanks Ironman +1.
I copied all my music files using winscp (ssh). It took me 3 hours to copy all my music. :P but then when I wanted to put the music files back on itunes, the names of the music files where all changed in numbers.

This is how the songs look on my iPod:

Only 200 songs (from 900) where changed to numbers. Any idea how to fix this?

Sorry my fault. I have should said that I have an iPod Touch. Sharepod doesn't recognize my iPod :( I guess that I am not the only one, according to what I have found on google.

Well I found a very useful that work on OSX and Windows: senuti. It let you copie 1000 songs in trial modus.. Even right to your playlists on iTunes!

I'm not sure why the names of the songs were changed to numbers. I've never had it happen to mine.

No I don't think so.
I have an iPod Touch running ios 5.1.1 jailbroken. When I lauch Sharepod (on windows 64 bit), it ask's you to connect your idevice. When I do that, Sharepod just crashes.

Sounds like you need to delete the program and reinstall it. Could be a glitch.

I would suggest uninstalling the mobile apple driver, in programs and features, and then download and install itunes again (as that will reinstall the the driver)

Songs with numbers also often occur because they arent legit.....buy another programe you could use would be pod rescue....it costs money but allows you to sync to multiple computers and share all of your music, but you do need to pay for it, but you dont need a jailbreak
BOOM hacked
