Is there a way to expand the system partition.
« on: February 08, 2013, 09:53:47 pm »
I have a JBed iPhone 4 and it only has 1.1 GB partitioned for the system. A lot of the tools on Cydia go there, so I'd like to take from the private partition (where I have plenty of space) and put it in the system partition. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Maybe try memmover on the ininjas repo. Let us know if that helps

Link all of /usr/local/bin EXCEPT the folder "standalone" to /var/usr/local/bin

Didn't seem to do anything, is there something I have to do with it?

Link all of /usr/local/bin EXCEPT the folder "standalone" to /var/usr/local/bin

How would I do that?

Can you look at the space you had before and after running memmover and see what the difference is?
Could you share a screenie?

Download iAHT from the Repo, and run "freedom". Or you could cook yourself a larger partitioned ispw with sn0wbreeze.
If I assist you please consider giving me a +1.

good point Godman777, what iOS are ya on Kinanizer? A cooked ipsw might be the best option (obv that requires a restore)

Well, I can't really tell the number difference, but I can tell by the chart I still don't have enough. As for the cooked IPSW, I cann't for I am on IOS 6.1

There's a 2.9.8? I just had it check for updates and it told me 2.9.7 was the latest.

good luck brov
happy I mighta helped. If you are not familiar with sn0wbreeze I suggest you look at a  few tuts first to make sure it goes smoothly. I have never had a problem but it is one of the more technical JBs out there.
have fun
