Help with metasploit
« on: February 10, 2013, 04:10:03 pm »
I am having problems with the fake browser update through iPwn.  When I get to the stage of "Launching metasploit"  my iPod goes into safe mode.  Is there a likely cause for this, or is this a freak case.  I am trying again so by the time you read this I may have resolved the issue.

Thanks,

What model iPod do you have?  Metasploit is a huge program and uses alot of ram,  thats why it crashes and causes safemode.  Try using an older version of metasploit like 3.x or if killing oher apps and processes to free up more ram.

Thanks.  It was a lack of memory that was my problem.

Also, now that I have a payload, how do I go about attacking a computer?  I have access to my own that I am testing on, but assuming I do not, what would I do?

The ipwn fake update will make sure anyone using the internet will download the payload you selected and run it. After selecting your options through ipwn fake update automation and arpspoofing via ipwn, you can sit back until you have a meterpreter session.
