(Basic) taking down a site
« on: July 26, 2011, 10:37:52 am »
so, you found a site you hate, or someone paid you to attack, or you just wanna take down some random site fer lulz.
how are you gonna do it? are you going to use sqlmap to inject sql code, and inject a metasploit payload? probably not.

noo... your gonna DoS (Denial Of Service) the **** outta it!

there is a wunderful and magical tool in bisboss's repo called, mptcp. mptcp is a custom packet crafter/generator.
now your thinking, but lady rawr, how can i use this to take down a site?! and without getting caught?!?!?!?!?!?!?

DONT PANIC.

the first step is getting the sites ip address. you dont need some fancy ass gui that you paid for off hackforums. you already have the best ip finder! ping. ping www.sitename.com and you will see the ip address pop up. once you copy that type in mptcp -d (victims ip here) -s (fake ip here) -S -n (number of threads)

-d sets the target to send the packets to
-s set any source ip address you want (even someone elses ip :)
-S is the type of attack, in this case its a tcp syn attack
-n sets the number of threads or connections it tried to make all at once

now just site back and wait for this lil bit of magic do its work.
after about half an hour of feeling l337, try to connect to the site. if you cannot connected also make a friend try to connect.

tada! you just took down a site fer epic lulz, and didnt get caught!

THEORY: i think it is possible that you can use an http attack and the ip of another site to make the two sites DoS themselves. have fun :)

Not on our repo, bigboss's.  You could also us nslookup instead of ping to get the ip address.  But looks good, nice tut!

Oh yeah. Well whatever. But only problem is a DoS isn't effective against websites. You'd need to do a DDoS for it to work on sites. But it's deffinately effective against services running on computers it's just websites can handle the traffic easier than say a computer on port 22.

Really? That slow for you? I've done it in less than 5 seconds for this site and even did it on my iPod.
